Annual Power of Seven Gathering 2026
Friday 12th June 2026
“Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.”
Thriving Families
Guest Speaker: Dr Pearl Brock, Clinical Director & Consultant Psychotherapist
As you know, at Po7 ‘Family’ is one of our three pillars.
You will learn how family systems shape communication, emotional patterns, and decision making.
Build insight that supports healthier relationships in both personal and professional life.
Dr Pearl is the Clinical Director of Think Well Psychotherapy Clinic, and a consultant clinical psychotherapist. With extensive experience across academic, clinical, and forensic settings. Pearl is a licensed clinical psychotherapist and international lecturer in psychotherapy who is dedicated to providing compassionate and individualised care.
Pearl has extensive experience working with Children, Teens, Adults, Couples and Families.
What Will Be Covered?
In this session Pearl will explore how family systems function as interconnected relational networks. Participants will learn how patterns of communication, loyalty, and emotional responsibility move through relationships and influence decisions, intimacy, conflict resolution, and resilience. The focus is on understanding systemic patterns rather than locating fault within an individual.
We will examine how family systems unconsciously shape behaviour, emotional responses, and leadership styles. Participants will apply systemic ideas to their personal and professional relationships, gaining clarity about the hidden patterns that stabilise or destabilise family life. The approach fosters relational awareness, promotes healthier interactions, and supports alignment between personal values, family needs, and business responsibilities.
Participants will leave with practical strategies for identifying systemic patterns, navigating relational difficulties, and communicating with greater authenticity and psychological safety. The session is experiential and reflective, building confidence in shifting from reactive positions to informed relational choices.
Corrib River Cruise
You will be treated to a cruise along the majestic River Corrib travelled by Viking invaders and Victorian steamboats. Our captain Aodán will share about Galway’s ancient past, Celtic Mythology and stories of Galway’s feuding families. The castles that we will see were home to some of Galway’s most interesting characters and their exploits.
The Corrib Princess then sails onto the beautiful Lough Corrib, Ireland’s largest Lake, a Special Area of Conservation with the spectacular Connemara mountains to the West. The crystal clear waters are home to courting swans, hunting herons and jumping salmon.
Drinks can be purchased from the full bar on board, nibbles will be provided.
Dinner at Il Vicolo
Situated on the banks of the river Corrib Il Vicolo serves Italian cuisine but in a contemporary manner, including classic plates as well as dishes you won’t find elsewhere. They boast a 100% Italian wine list with over 70 wines to choose from!

Why Not Stay Overnight?
Why not treat yourself and your partner to an overnight in Galway city? I’d recommend you stay in the city so no need for taxi’s etc. I will post up some options here in due course which I highly recommend you book well in advance to secure a room.
Knowing that you have a Po7 group is good and also knowing that you are part of a wider community of groups makes it even better. This is an excellent way to get to know this valuable community.
Just seeing the energy and fun Po7 members and their partners had at the last few gatherings inspires me to continue to make this happen each year.
I’m really looking forward to seeing you at this gathering, and thank you for coming if you decide to come. Please drop me an email to let me know you are coming?
See you in June in Galway city on the Corrib!
Kind regards,
