Luncheon at McSwiggans
A welcome awaits you at McSwiggan’s private Atlantic Room at 12pm. One of the best known pubs/restaurants in Galway city nestled in historic Woodquay. In 2025, McSwiggan’s was honoured as Ireland’s Best Gastropub by the Restaurant Association Awards. As our guest you will be served a drink on arrival followed by a delicious luncheon with a choice of Pan Seared Salmon Escalope, Roast organic breast of chicken or a vegetarian/vegan option followed by desert, tea/coffee. This will be followed at 2pm by our guest speaker Dr Pearl Brock on Thriving Families. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements or for some reason you can’t make lunch?

Pearl is a licensed clinical psychotherapist and international lecturer in psychotherapy who is dedicated to providing compassionate and individualised care.
Pearl has extensive experience working with Children, Teens, Adults, Couples and Families.

Why Not Stay Overnight?
Why not treat yourself and your partner to an overnight in Galway city? I’d recommend you stay in the city so no need for taxi’s etc.
Best bet is to look on Booking.com here and choose your best option. A thought is to book somewhere within/close to the city with parking, park your car there and walk/taxi to McSwiggans etc, and back the hotel after dinner/drinks, i.e. get rid of the car! Galway Bay Hotel Conference & Leisure Centre, Salthill Hotel or the New Raddison Red are possibilities for this.
Knowing that you have a Po7 group is good and also knowing that you are part of a wider community of groups makes it even better. This is an excellent way to get to know this valuable community.
Just seeing the energy and fun Po7 members and their partners had at the last few gatherings inspires me to continue to make this happen each year.
